About us

NATIONAL BARDIA PARK is a peace of real heaven, which reception, on approximately 1000 km2, an incomparable biodiversity...
The conditions of access are very difficult for it, but the efforts are often rewarded...

This small part of paradise welcomes the most beautiful wild sorts: tigers of the bengal, the leopards, the elephants, the rhinoceros, dolphins of the Ganges, many cervids, and cervicapres, among which the last antelopes of Asia... wild pigs, crocodiles, and a big quantity of different birds, as the great hornbill...

Our numerous stays in this zone, and our numerous safaris within the park led us straight towards a passion and a profound respect for this magic place, where the wild nature reigns, but how long?

The human is everywhere, and the Nature moves back but what the buman does not understand, it is that he needs this Nature for his balance, that the environment in which he lives is indispensable to his épanouissement

This website is an invitation, in the discovery of a unique and charming place. All the species living there, suffered during decades of pursue merciless practised by well-to-do evil of sensations and it continues.

To penetrate into this national park, it is to be a privileged witness of a fabulous nature its intended depends on efforts of the Asian governments, and on the international assistance. The protection of the fauna stay, all around the world, an option, while it should be a priority and a duty on behalf of each of us

SUNDARI WILDLIFE PROJECT association arose from our love and from our growing passion for the fauna of Nepal, fragile but magnificent.

During two years, this association fought with its small means to try to make become aware to the local populations of the importance of the wild fauna in its natural environment.

Our collaboration with the association of tje jungle guides of Bardia ( NAGA), allowed us to learn, to understand the source of this repetitive problem of poaching in spite of the permanent presence of eight hundred soldiers established in comfortable barracks lining the national park.

The poaching rages, still, and still tigers and rhinoceros are the direct targets of the poachers and all other species are also victims.

So, we needed two years to learn and understand. Understand what? Understand that the financiers of these massacres repetitive are in fact the authorities and the powers in place (the staff of the park, the army) which consider that this national park, this jewel, is their very lucrative small firm, which they can enjoy in their ease...

They grant themselves the right of life and death on fragil species in process of extinction, miracles of the nature, which fall alternately under the weight of fatal bullet of the rifles machine gunners SLR, which only the army and the police can possess.

We stayed eight months in border of this national park, and the end of our stay was marked by the poaching of two rhinoceros in the three weeks, the direct witnesses of which we were. Every scene is identical, about ten bullets in the body and the horn extracted by means of a cerpe ( See articles)

Then, what to do ? To keep silent by fear of reprisals on behalf of the authorities? Should we do as all these people who know but never say one word, because of the pressures imposed by the direction of the park, by the head of the army, by the main spot foundation which takes the butter and the money of the butter? Should we be afraid ? NO.

We decide not to keep silent, better, we decide to strike hardly and to reveal in broad daylight all that we know, all witnesses of which we were these last months, these last weeks, by seeking the national press (tv, radio, newspapers) We decide to accuse publicly supporting evidences the authorities in place. Our speeches begin to be listened to and heard supported by the press national.
